On the hunt for some Summer haircut inspiration? Lizzie McGuire — er, Hilary Duff — can help with that. The actress just switched up her look by debuting long, centre-parted bangs in the middle of her Younger press tour, and we're really digging the subtle transformation. Duff's hairstylist, Nikki Lee, told POPSUGAR that the mother of two had been thinking about getting bangs for weeks, and she finally took the plunge on May 30. "Instead of doing a full-on bang, we opted for more of a curtain bang that sweeps to both sides. The vibe is very '70s," Lee said.
Although we do agree her curtain bangs are undeniably '70s-inspired, we can't help but also be reminded of one of Duff's most iconic characters, Lizzie McGuire, who constantly filled us with the urge to grab kitchen scissors and give ourselves DIY bangs at home. Although the star's new bangs aren't quite the straight-across, hit-just-above-the-eyebrows, worn-with-butterfly-clips type that Lizzie wore in the earlier episodes of the series, they are somewhat reminiscent of the wispy, side-swept fringe the character rocked as she got older.
Keep reading for a step-by-step look at Duff's Summer-ready hair makeover and to see just how similar her bangs look to Lizzie's. This is what (haircut) dreams are made of! (Sorry, we couldn't resist.)
