Angelina Jolie held hands with her son, Pax, and her daughter, Shiloh, as the trio boarded a plane at the Sydney airport yesterday. Angelina is most likely taking a domestic flight to another Australian destination since she is currently spending time Down Under to begin work on her new directorial effort, Unbroken. Angelina's not making the transition alone since she's had the company of her children while in Oz for the past week. She took all of her six of her kids out bowling in Sydney on Tuesday, and the family made a trip to an aquarium over the weekend before Angelina hopped on a water taxi with work friends to attend to business. Meanwhile, Brad Pitt is busy with a project of his own as he is currently on location in England filming for his latest, Fury. His family may not recognise him when they are reunited after their work schedules quiet down since Brad cut his hair off for the new project, in which he plays a World War II soldier, after sporting longer locks since 2009.
Angie's trip Down Under comes hot on the heels of the big news that she will be receiving an honorary Oscar for her humanitarian efforts. The special honorary Oscar ceremony, called the Governors Awards, will take place on Nov. 16, earlier than the traditional Academy Awards. Past winners of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award include Oprah Winfrey and Elizabeth Taylor. Of course, Angelina already has an Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted.
