What Is Apple TV+'s Movie Hala About?

A Young Pakistani Woman Comes Into Her Own in Jada Pinkett Smith's Apple TV+ Film, Hala

Apple TV+ is rolling out its movie lineup this week, and the latest film, Hala, is a coming-of-age story about a 17-year-old Pakistani woman. The film, which was executive produced by Jada Pinkett Smith, focuses on a teenager named Hala (Blockers actress Geraldine Viswanathan) who has a hard time balancing her life at school with her friends and at home with her family. As she comes into her own and develops a crush on a boy, she eventually uncovers a secret that could shake up her family.

Hala will have a limited theatrical release on Nov. 22 before debuting on Apple TV+ on Dec. 6. In the meantime, you can watch the first trailer above.
