The Bec & Bridge Runway Wasn't What We Expected, But in the Best Way
"The Bec & Bridge girl has always been a rule breaker but this season, she is really pushing the boundaries. Spirited and bold, she has retained the innocence of youth. Alluring and enigmatic but seriously cheeky." The show notes captured the collection (shown at MBFWA on Tuesday evening) to a tee.
Giving a nod to the '90s while simultaneously acknowledging the rebellious streak we all associate with the Bec & Bridge brand, slip dresses hung from spaghetti straps, hemlines were high and shirts were pulled below both shoulders. A fiery red, cobalt blue, dark denim and black dominated. But with every cheeky silhouette or daring colour, came a softness by way of frills, fluid silks, delicate lace or touches of pink.
One thing's for sure — this collection will be hanging in every cool-girl's wardrobe the moment it drops.
