My Ring

I decided long ago that I didn't want an engagement ring of any kind, and Kailash and I both agreed that it would be wasteful to purchase a pricey piece of jewelry. However, his mother brought us a yellow gold, diamond ring that Kailash's grandmother, who passed away several years ago, received in the 1950s. It's a beautiful, meaningful piece of vintage jewelry that now lives on my finger every day.
