Understanding the unique approaches of women we admire towards wellness — especially when it comes to diet and exercise — will forever be a guilty pleasure of ours. One woman on our radar this year is 25-year-old
Chinese-Australian beauty, Fancesca Hung .
A model, student and the newly appointed lifestyle ambassador of plant-based meal program,
Eimele, maintaining a healthy lifestyle that fuels her for success is top priority for the former Miss Universe Australia winner. So, when we got to chance to talk to her about all things wellness, we took it.
When it comes down to it, Francesca's approach to healthy eating is simple. She explains organisation is key in avoiding unhealthy decisions, "I always make sure to have healthy snacks ready when I'm on the go so I don't just grab the first thing I see when I'm hungry", and like a lot of women on the run, has found a meal plan that compliments her diet.
Read on to find out what an average day on a plate looks like for Chesska and the exact
breakfast supplement she swears by to stay fuller for longer.
POPSUGAR Australia: What are your tips for maintaining a healthy diet while travelling?
Francesca Hung: I always make sure to have healthy snacks ready when I'm on the go so I don't just grab the first thing I see when I'm hungry. So usually that might be a handful of almonds or trail mix, or a snack bar to give me some energy and a nutrition boost. I'm the lifestyle ambassador for Eimele, so also carry their cacao and coconut snack bars (they're delicious).
PS: Sticking to a healthy eating plan year-round is hard. Do you have any hacks for staying focused, especially as we transition into Winter?
FH: I tend to stick to a year-round eating plan — I know what works for me and my lifestyle, and that's clean eating.
PS: Can you take us through what an average day on a plate looks like for you?
FH: Breakfast is Eimele's mixed wild berry porridge with coconut yoghurt, or an omelette with lots of spinach and sweet potato. For lunch, I'll usually prepare a poached chicken or tuna salad and then have a snack bar. For dinner I might have a salmon steak with sautéed green veggies, or if I want something lighter, Eimele's tomato, basil and lentil soup is my go-to. It's delicious!

PS: Do you ever supplement your meals to keep you fuller for longer?
FH: I'm normally a coconut yoghurt and berries for breakfast girl, but I've been adding Eimele porridge in with a spoonful of natural peanut butter, and I top it with blueberries because they're full of antioxidants. It's such a good combo and something I look forward to when I wake up, plus, it keeps me feeling full until lunchtime!
PS: Do you have any delicious desert substitutes for when you're craving chocolate?
FH: Cacao is amazing if you want a hit of chocolate flavour without the sugar. Mix it through some coconut yoghurt and you'll end up with a healthy chocolate mousse. I add some shaved coconut, banana slices and cacao nibs if I want something more like a sundae.
PS: What do you do for exercise? Is there a workout you swear by?
FH: I like to exercise at least once a day by playing tennis or practicing yoga or pilates. When it comes to general fitness, I love boxing-style workouts and HIIT classes to get my heart rate up.

PS: What's the benefit of doing a program like Eimele, compared to just eating a healthy balanced diet?
FH: Because Eimele comes in individually packed portions, each one is a complete plant-based meal packed with essential nutrients, plant protein and vitamins. I know I'm getting all the nutrients my body needs at every meal. It's been really easy as I haven't removed any meals and it's similar to my previous diet. Eimele complements my existing routine.
PS: Do you have any advice for young women when it comes to their relationship with food?
FH: Definitely don't beat yourself up if you feel like you're not nailing the whole healthy eating thing all the time. Certain triggers like stress and overworking can sometimes lead us astray from the path of health, which is totally normal and OK. I'd say just to try to keep everything in perspective — don't deny yourself that sweet treat if you're you're craving it.
