Gingerbread Martini Recipe

This Gingerbread Martini Is So Good, You'll Be Drinking Your Dessert All Season Long

If you have a serious sweet tooth and an appreciation for a holiday happy hour, but still want to mind your sugar and calorie intake, then this gingerbread cocktail recipe is perfect for you! Not only is it made with fresh ingredients, but it'll make you one killer party host this season.

A classic gingerbread cookie is full of seasonal spices and brown sugar to make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, and this martini is designed to do exactly that. It's toasty, sweet, and spiced to perfection, but is also designed with mindful swaps, like nutrient-packed coconut sugar (instead of brown sugar) and almond milk (instead of regular milk). You'll be very grateful for a much clearer head the next morning!

So, skip the cookies and drink your dessert this holiday season, instead. We promise you'll be going back for seconds (and thirds).

Gingerbread Martini

Original Recipe by Zack Peter

The best way to get rid of extra sugar and calories in most traditional cocktails is to use a cleaner, no-cal sweetener, like stevia or fermented sugarcane (I like Purecane). Also, you'll want to stick to a high-quality vodka (Belvedere is my usual go-to). You'll be grateful in the morning!

Gingerbread Martini Recipe

  1. Dash of Ginger Bitters (or Dash of Ground Ginger)
    Dash of Cinnamon
    Dash of Nutmeg
A Couple Drops of Vanilla Extract
3 oz Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
    1.5 oz Vodka
Sweetener of Your Choice (I Prefer Stevia or a Fermented Sugarcane to Cut Carbs/Calories)
Optional: Unsweetened Coconut Flakes to Garnish
    Optional: Coconut Sugar to Garnish

  1. Combine ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, almond milk, vodka, and sweetener into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Stir together.
  3. Gently wet the rim of a martini glass and coat with a combination of unsweetened coconut flakes, coconut sugar, and a granulated sweetener of choice.
  4. Pour combined ingredients into your martini glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
