Get in Quick, Kmart's February Drop Might Be Its Best Ever
Kmart is set to kick goals this year. Home goals. POPSUGAR Australia was one of the media outlets lucky enough to preview their February living range in Melbourne this week, and we were blown away by two things: the quality of the products, and the (astoundingly low) prices. Meryn Serong, Kmart's home divisional merchandise manager, says that's the aim. Their buyers are consistently working with suppliers (as in, hundreds of them), to make sure the price stays low but the quality is there. And it so is: the velvets are can't-stop-stroking soft, the sheets have a 500 thread count and the lighting designs are mid-century perfection. Impressed.
The new collection is divided into three trends: Timeless (powdery pinks, grey, pops of gold and — new addition — a winey red, named "claret"), Natural (minimal, textured and lots of green) and Urban (industrial materials, black, silver and pops of cobalt blue). The trends are great for guiding any tentative home decorator, but ultimately they all work together.
It's a collection that is bound to sell out; already many of the items — which don't officially drop until Feb. 9 — are selling fast.
Read on for our curated (but not particularly restrained) edit of the best items from the collection.
